Crobat Trick

The last post I wrote talked about how to get items from Lady Selphy. A good way to get a Crobat would be to keep on training a Golbat until it reaches max happiness. But there is a way that is much faster. After getting a few Luxury Balls from Selphy, go to Mt. Moon with a weak Pokemon like a Lv. 13 Pidgey. Find a Zubat, and use a weak move like Tackle on it until it reaches low health. Then, use a Luxury Ball to catch it. The Luxury Ball will make the Zubat grow happier quicker. Then, go to Vermilion City. Go to the field to the right of the city, and go in the building at the far right. go up the stairs, and talk to the man with the white clothes. He is one of Professor Oak's aides, and he has an Itemfinder to give to you. He will only give it to you if you have at least 30 Pokemon in your Pokedex. But if you already have the National Dex, you won't have to worry about that, because you need 60 Pokemon in your Pokedex to get the National Dex. So, get the Itemfinder, and Fly to Lavender Town. Go to the top of Pokemon Tower, and use the Itemfinder at the exact spot that Mr. Fugi was to get a Soothe Bell. It makes Pokemon grow happier faster. Make your Zubat hold it to make it become happier even faster. with a Luxury Ball and a Soothe Bell, the Zubat will grow to max happiness really quickly. The reason you should catch the Zubat at Mt. Moon is because Zubat evolves at Lv. 22. Leveling Pokemon up also makes them happier, and using Carbos for a super fast Crobat and Protein for Poison type attacks and Flying type attacks makes the Zubat better and happier.
Doing this makes any Pokemon grow happier 2.5 times faster
This is for Fire Red and Leaf Green only. I don't know if the Sevii Islands are in other games.

Pokemon Fire Red/ Leaf Green Lady Selphy Trick

First, to get to Lady Selphy, you need to get to her through Lost Cave. There are also some important items for filling your Pokedex in the cave.

Direction Keys: >= Right, <= Left, ^= Up, and v= Down.

Lady Selphy:>, ^, v, v, >, <, v, >, ^. Lady Selphy will challenge you to a match. She has two Lv.49 Persians, and if you go back to where she was, you will find a Silk Scarf. A Silk Scarf raises the power of any Normal type attack by 10%, making Tauros even better.

Lax Incense: >, v.

Max Revive: >, ^, v, v, >, >.

Rare Candy: >, ^, v, v, >, <, v, <.

Sea Incense: >, ^, v, ^.

Whatever you do, DO NOT SELL EITHER OF THE INCENSES! If you need more money, go to the Vermilion City Pokemon Center, and talk to the girl standing next to where you are when you're getting your Pokemon healed. She will give you a Vs. Seeker, which allows you to challenge any trainer you have battled before. It also shows trainers you haven't battled before with a red "!" above their heads. A trainer you have battled before will either have a blue X or a blue "!!" above their head. The incenses are used for getting two Hoenn Pokemon. Give a Wobbuffet the Lax Incense and breed it at Four Island to get a Wynaut, and a Marill/ Azumarill with the Sea Incense for an Azurill.

So then, go to the house at Resort Gorgeous that says "Selphy" on the mailbox. Talk to Lady Selphy, and she will ask to see a certain Pokemon. Save before you talk to her in case you don't have the Pokemon she wants to see. Then fly back to the Five Island Pokemon Center and get the Pokemon. She will always ask for a Pokemon in your Pokedex, whether you've caught it or not. If you show her the Pokemon she wants to see, she will give you an item you can't buy anywhere. What I've gotten from her so far is:
11 Luxury Balls.
3 Stardusts.
2 Nuggets.
2 Pearls.
2 Rare Candies.
1 Star Piece.
I believe that may be all of the kinds of items you can get from Lady Selphy. Also, I think the reason you may only find a few of the items in Lost Cave in other places is because Selphy must have dropped them while looking for a way out of the cave.

Pokedream

Just like http://www.serebii.net/, http://www.pokedream.com/ can be a very helpful pokemon website, because although serebii.net has a Pokedex, it doesn't show the chances of finding a Pokemon. Pokedream has that! So if there is a specific Pokemon you want to find, try first looking at serebii.net, finding the Pokemon you want, looking at the places you may find it, going to that place, getting on Pokedream.com, and looking at the chance of finding the Pokemon you want. For example, let's say I have Pokemon Fire Red. If I want a Rattata, but don't know how or where to find one, which would mean I'm extremely ignorant, which I'm not, I would go to serebii.net, look up the R/S/C/FR/LG (Ruby, Sapphire, Crystal, Fire Red, Leaf Green)Pokedex, find Rattata in the Fire Red/ Leaf Green section, see where I can find it, and assuming I go to Route 1, go to Pokedream.com, and look up Fire Red/ Leaf Green. If I look at the Route 1 section, it will show a picture of Route 1, there will be some information on it, and pictures of a Pidgey and Ratatta, both with a box below them, saying 50%. The percentage means the chance of finding that Pokemon where you are. And also, the R/S/C/FR/LG Pokedex doesn't have a Pokedex for Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, or Crystal. For Pokedexes for those games, you need to go to the R/B/Y/G/S/C Pokedex.

Great Pokemon Website for Pokedexes, Pictures, and Pokemon News

There's a website that I go to quite often, filled with information on all of the different Pokemon, information on when new Pokemon games are coming out, the different shiny Pokemon in the TV show, and even pictures of battles and places on the Pokemon games that aren't even out yet, Pokemon Black and White. If you seem to be interested in this, the site address is www.serebii.net. It can be very useful because it also shows where you can catch Pokemon! So use it if you're having trouble finding a certian Pokemon.
